On being told we're going RVing...
"I always thought that sounded like the worst possible way to spend a vacation" to "It's beautiful 'up there' [in Northern California]". You can usually know in advance how people are going to react, if you know the relative appeal a five-star hotel has for them vs. going camping.
We shall see how it works for us.
