Having just spent the past half hour unsuccessfully searching for our nanny's shoes, which Little Starlet had carefully hidden before going to bed, I am wondering how we will manage her natural exuberance - or should that be ability to come up with new and annoying habits - in the confined space of the RV. We went so far as to wake her up to ask about the shoes (and let's face it, "never wake a sleeping child" is one of the important lessons you learn early on as a parent). The shoes went unfound, and Carolina went home in a pair of too-small, rather dusty flip-flops.
There will be stern words spoken in the morning.

Duncan says... The next morning, I asked Little Starlet whether she knew where the shoes were. She said she didn't know, but that she would think about it, and I needed to leave her alone to think. Returning two minutes later, I realized the shoes had mysteriously reappeared.
